Canton Kitchen is a take-out and delivery Chinese restaurant located near the intersection of Taylor and Ross, in the same parking lot as the downtown McDonald's.

My first experience with this place was when I was on the hunt for something quick, and I had planned on just hitting up McDonald's. On a whim I decided to check out this place, and I was pretty happy with the experience.

There's not much for seating here, so don't go expecting to eat in - it's basically take-out and delivery only. The menu is standard Chinese food fare. The portions are always large, and I haven't had an experience with anything not coming up fresh, as I have with a lot of take-out places. The staff is also usually very friendly, and happy to see you walk in. I tend to place my orders at the counter, and I've never waited more than a few minutes for a meal.

I'm a fan of the Dinner options, since the selection and amount of food you get is well worth the price. A dinner for 1 is enough for 2 people, and the dinner for 2 feeds 3 or 4 people easily - just make sure you order an extra egg roll to avoid the fight. Keep in mind that if you want to substitute something in a dinner combo, however, there is an upcharge.

The value of the meals here are really good, but you have to share, or consider leftovers. What you pay for a combo seems high if you're only going to eat one meal and toss out what's left, but for 2 or more meals, the value is obvious.
